One of the most famous days in the UAE calendar, is the annual celebration that marks the UAE’s union – National Day. The union between the six emirates (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain), which was followed by the joining of the seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, in 1972, commemorates the formation of the modern-day country we know and love today.
This year, to mark the 45th National Day, Remarkable was asked by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to create and host a celebration at their Al Qusais compound in Dubai, for over 300 of their employees and family members.
The Ministry came to Remarkable with the brief of creating an event that celebrated the region’s culture and traditions. The Ministry’s compound in Al Qasais was transformed into a traditional bazaar, complete with souq sellers and a live cooking demonstration, housed in authentic Areesh tenting, built by Remarkable to the highest specifications and decorated with traditional Emirati items. Remarkable brought in Ayallah Dancers and a group of local school children to perform for guests.
To complete the traditional feel, Remarkable also included Henna artists, Arabic Calligraphers, a Falcon handler and live handcrafting, to provide guests with interactive experiences and gifts to take home after the event. We also partnered with the Cheeky Little Events, who provided children’s entertainment and fun activities within a dedicated children’s area.
All of these elements, provided by Remarkable’s event planning team, contributed to the success of the event, with guests commenting that it was the most successful and well-attended National Day celebration ever hosted by the Ministry.
“Thank you for the perfect work you did in organising the Ministry’s celebrations for the UAE’s 45th National Day. We really appreciate your efforts, professionalism and the commitment you presented during the celebrations.”
